The Art Selling Process

Below you will see an outline as to what the art selling process will be like for you as an Artist to sell art online through our easy and affordable online art gallery. If you are unable to find the answer you're looking for please contact Customer Care or click below for live support:

 

Getting Started

Artist Registration
  • Register as an artist
  • Once you have filled out all the required information and submitted it, you will receive a confirmation e-mail within minutes confirming your registration. In this e-mail there will be an account activation link which will also re-direct you to our Artist Subscription page.
Item & Detail Submission
  • After a successful membership subscription you will be automatically re-directed to our Artist Upload page which can be found at any time on our footer menu at the bottom of each page.
  • Here you may enter all appropriate information and upload images for 5 items at a time. This is to reduce upload time for you.
  • When entering your items information and pricing, please note that a small percentage will be added to your take home price that you set to cover a portion of advertising material, promotions, and shipping costs (ex. Advertising 20% off all art, free shipping, etc.) This percentage will NOT be more than 30% of your set take home item price, therefore, you can adjust your cost accordingly if you wish. This will ensure that you receive your full asking price while many other art galleries will charge commission directly from your sale.
  • Upon submission of your art images and details, Art-Mecca.com will post your items live online within 1-3 business days considering all information and media are correctly submitted. In most instances, your items will be posted live within only a few hours.
  • You (the artist) may add, remove, or replace any of your items going to the “artist upload” page using your account login and password which you will set up upon initial registration.  Once your new items have been uploaded please check back within 3 business days for your updated items and review to ensure accuracy.

Receiving & Fulfilling Orders

Orders
  • Once an order has been placed for your item(s) by an online buyer, you (the artist) will receive a purchase order confirmation via e-mail with product detail(s) and shipping information.
  • When the product has been shipped, you (the artist) will submit the courier tracking or reference # to www.art-mecca.com/shipping-confirmation .
  • Art-Mecca.com will track the shipment. Once the item has been received by the buyer, you (the artist) will receive full payment after approximately 7-14 days, depending on which method of payment you prefer. This is to allow for the buyers "7 day money back guarantee".
Item Packaging & Shipping
  • You are responsible for all shipping supplies and protective packaging needed to ensure that your item reaches the buyer unscathed and in perfect condition. You may account for this cost in the cost of your item if you wish. *Note: For information on art packaging suppliers in your area you may contact us and we will help you determine a nearby supplier. Although, please do this BEFORE an order has come through if possible to reduce the possibility of delay in shipment.
  • For international shipments, Art-Mecca.com will charge the buyer directly a customized shipping rate.
  • In both cases, Art-Mecca.com will e-mail you a printable, pre-paid shipping label to attach to your shipment along with your purchase order. 
Items Sold Privately by The Artist
  • In the case that one of your listed items is sold by you (the artist), or someone other than Art-Mecca.com, you agree to notify orders@art-mecca.com immediately so that the item can be listed as “sold” and then removed from the website.
